The following contains a breakdown of how each team is currently comprised financially heading into opening day.

Notable Notes:
- 5 teams (NYY, DET, SF, BOS, PHI) have more dollars allocated to their starting pitching than the Marlins have in total payroll.
- Felix Hernandez ($22,857,142) accounts for 70% of the Mariners' starting pitching dollars.
- The Dodgers have almost $58M allocated to their disabled list to start the year.
- Staying true to form, the Oakland A's have the most balanced positional payroll in baseball
- Only 50% of MLB teams have a payroll north of $100M.
