A quick look at the financial breakdowns for the NL Wildcard rosters shows the differences in how the teams are put together. The Cubs bring a 25-man payroll of $76M into the 1-game series, while the Pirates account for a bit less at $66M. Chicago's 10 available pitchers combine for $30M in 2015 salary, half of which belongs to Jon Lester (who may not see the mound). 43% of the Pirates $27M in pitching payroll tonight comes from Francisco Liriano, who also might not see action.
