We're now a month away from the 2014 NFL Draft and while plenty of talented free agents still remain available, the onslaught of signings and releases has slowed to an infrequent pace at this point. We'll take a look at how teams have spent their money in terms of free agency over the past month. We'll also assess the spending from a positional standpoint, looking at which positions are garnering the biggest contracts and guaranteed dollars on the 2014 market.

Top Free Agent Signings by Position
A seemingly loaded draft class has kept the quarterbacks almost non-existent in free agency this offseason so much so that perfeclty capable gunslingers like Josh Freeman, Rex Grossman, and Matt Flynn are still jobless.

A saturated running back market kept lengths and annual averages relatively low. Though a sizeable deal for recently released Chris Johnson may increase the numbers a bit.

It's clear that teams made their secondaries, wide receiving, and left tackle positions primary pay focuses this free agent season. Broncos new cornerback Aqib Talib leads all signees with $57 million in total dollars, and comes in second only to safety Jairus Byrd in guaranteed money. The two also signed the longest deals at 6 years (though neither are likely to play them out in their entirety).
